I Hate to Break it to You, but You've Been Lied to...
How do I know? After all of your years of hard work, are you financially independent in one of the wealthiest countries on the planet? You are intelligent, hard-working, and do the "right things" and yet 95% of us are not financially independent, let alone wealthy. (There is a difference).
The fact is, you have most likely been catering to someone else's agenda for too long. Perhaps many people's agendas. We are not taught financial independence in school, probably not at home, and not at church. So, it's up to us to figure it out. But you don't have to do it alone. And yes, you DO need people you can trust. There are more sharks out there than you realize.
After going through a difficult time, I started to discover that there are many elements in our system geared to benefit those who can manipulate you for power and control... This is fairly common, and those who work hard and are "obedient" are left behind struggling.
THAT WAS ME. THAT IS NO LONGER ME. How about YOU?
Do you often wonder if there is more to life than:
Collecting a paycheck where 50% is taken off the top
Dealing with office politics
Being passed over for promotions
Negotiating ungrateful bosses and backbiting colleagues
Commuting in stressful and grueling traffic 1 to 2 hours a day (OR MORE!)
Taking a short vacation and starting this all over again?
For what? Who sold you on this idea?
As a financially independent woman, I can tell you how awesome it is to live life on your terms! I'm still building because it's fun, and I get to collaborate with amazing people in the process and build beautiful things, both for creative expression and for wealth building, as I do it, I am continually inviting others to come along for the wonderful ride! But, on any given day, if I want a day off, or if I want to hop on a plane and go somewhere fun, I CAN DO THAT AND ANSWER TO NO ONE.

Some people believe that they are not worth investing in. Women tend to make less money investing than men, because they are accustomed to putting others before them.
A mindset shift is crucial. This is what I learned after extricating myself from the cult.
